At Koons of Silver Spring, we understand that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a growing health concern and the well-being of our employees and customers is of the utmost importance to us. With the constantly changing, sometimes overwhelming news about COVID-19 the leadership team would like to reassure you that we are taking every step to ensure your health and safety by sharing some of the actions we are taking.

• We are actively monitoring the latest reports from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health organizations and following their recommended guidelines.
• Our cleaning staff will continue to actively disinfect all working spaces, restrooms and countertop surfaces multiple times per day.
• We have increased the cleaning staff’s presence and the scope of their process to include deeper cleaning and a one day complete sanitization of the entire dealership.
• We are providing employees with hand sanitizer and have hand sanitizer stations and disinfectant wipes throughout the dealership.

We ask that all staff and visitors of the dealership take the necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by staying informed and practicing good personal hygiene.

• If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 please see your primary care physician immediately. The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure (keep in mind this list is not all inclusive if you develop these or any flu like symptoms seek medical attention):

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath
• Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
• New confusion or inability to arouse
• Bluish lips or face

• Washing your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, like your phone or computer.
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze then throw the tissue in the trash.
